How you help | Our volunteers are an essential part of Berkshire Humane Society. They contribute more than 12,000 hours annually. From caring for animals to fundraising and assisting with our humane education program, our volunteer positions offer many opportunities to help our shelter. We are dedicated to improving the lives of homeless animals, and we could not fulfill that mission without our volunteers’ time and talents. |

About us | Each year Berkshire Humane Society takes in over a thousand animals who have nowhere else to go. No matter their age, temperament, medical condition, or breed, we turn no animal away, and we place 100% of our adoptable animals into new loving homes. From humane education to low-cost spaying and neutering programs, we also provide a variety of programs and services that promote the welfare of all animals and their people. |
