About us | In 2014, a tide of conversations arose amongst youth, youth workers, and community members about the need for a safe space for young people to gather. Out of these conversations two groups formed: The Youth Board & The Teen Center Task Force. Together these two groups worked together to form a 5 year strategic plan for the planning and implementation of a teen center that serves the Northern Berkshire Region. Now, ROOTS is celebrating its 5th year of being open to the community. Our center has seen tremendous growth and success throughout its incubating phase. Young people are reporting they feel their voice is valued and that they have a significant presence and impact in the growth of the community. How You Help: Volunteers keep our organization moving! They are a huge part of how we keep programs, resources, & opportunities available to the northern Berkshire youth community. |
