SculptureNow
About us | SculptureNow was founded in 1998 by a group of people involved in the arts in the Berkshires, who became aware of a need to promote the experience and knowledge of sculpture through exhibitions and educational outreach, and to offer artists venues for showing their work in our community. Each year, for 22 years, SculptureNow has presented juried works by 20-30 local, nationally and internationally renowned sculptors. Our exhibitions have been sited at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and in the streets and parks of Becket, Great Barrington, Hinsdale, Housatonic, Lee, Lenox and Stockbridge. For the past seven years we have collaborated with The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home in Lenox, MA. The exhibition on the beautiful grounds there have received rave reviews and was seen by 52,000 visitors in 2018. Free guided tours and a public reception are offered to visitors of all ages, abilities, socioeconomic levels, gender and race/ethnicity. Our sculpture tours provide a unique experience that would not otherwise be available. We emphasize communication with “living” art and artists, providing visitors with inspiration for their own creativity. |
