Our mission | The mission of the Ventfort Hall Association, Inc. is to restore the buildings and grounds of the Ventfort Hall property in Lenox; to create a unique and interactive national Museum of the Gilded Age at the site; and to present programs, collections, and exhibits interpreting this era, the Town of Lenox, and Berkshire County to the general public and scholastic and scholarly communities. The Gilded Age subjects explored will be comprehensive, covering all aspects and motivations of the individual giants of the era, and the resulting impact on business, the environment, technology and the social life of the period. |

Exhibit MonitorPassionate about history? Like to tell stories? Share our beautiful home and the property’s fascinating history. Monitors offer answers to questions that guests have while they self-guide through the house. Full training is provided. One or two days a week, weekdays & weekends, for just a few hours or the whole day. Ventfort Hall is open year round.Volunteers should be able to stand for extended periods of time and have good communication skills as well as people skills. |

About us | Ventfort Hall is an imposing Jacobean Revival-style mansion built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, the sister of J. P. Morgan. Designed by the architects Rotch & Tilden, it is located in Lenox, Massachusetts. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and declared an official project of “Save America’s Treasures,” a Millennium program of Hillary Rodham Clinton and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Ventfort Hall is the home of The Museum of the Gilded Age. |
