Assist income-eligible seniors monthly in writing checks for household bills, budgeting, and reconciling bank statements.

Program instructors have been key partners in our work since the beginning. They include natural resource professionals, educators, scientists, students, and community members who share their passion, knowledge, and life experience with young people.

Volunteer with our administrative staff at our home office in Great Barrington and take a hands-on role in BOF’s daily activities. Help is most often requested during the summer season, but we do periodically have projects that require assistance throughout the rest of the year.

BOF periodically needs assistance at fundraising events, patron events, artist receptions, and other functions.

Ushers help to keep BOF’s performances running smoothly and to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for our audiences. Plus, you can see a performance for free!

Our artists travel from all over the country and globe to perform with BOF, and we want to ensure they have a very warm welcome throughout their stay in the Berkshires. Join our artist welcome team to help receive our artists and help them feel at home!

Volunteers significantly increase our capacity to keep land for all to enjoy here in the beautiful Berkshires. Whether you’d like to help keep trails looking good or build new trail, restore native habitat, assist with office related tasks, we have options for you!

Throughout the year, we need assistance with our onsite and offsite fundraisers and other community events. At these events, your responsibilities can range from setting up tables and/or tents to providing information to visitors and selling Berkshire Humane Society merchandise.
